Jack Leslie Campaign

Jack Leslie was a London born footballer who played for Plymouth Argyle between 1921 and 1935, despite being a talented player he never realised his dream of playing for England, because he was a ‘man of colour’.  The Jack Leslie campaign is campaigning to honour this trailblazing player, by pushing for a statue of him outside Plymouth Argyle’s stadium Home Park.  The Greens of Colour are supporting this campaign and we have written a blog that talks about Jack Leslie’s life in context of modern English football.
