Faty Kane - Womens's Officer

I’m a campaign leader with over ten years of experience advocating for female leadership, women’s rights and girls’ education amongst other issues. I joined the Green party recently as a member of the Greenwich and Bexley branch.

Being a mother has opened my eyes to the responsibility we have in ensuring urgent actions are taken for future generations to enjoy a healthy and safe planet. I believe the Greens to be the party that can make that happen.

However there is a clear need for more diversity within the Green party. As the GoC women’s’ officer, my role includes reaching out to girls and women of colour to increase interest and engagement on environmental issues. This influx of different perspectives will in turn make our party richer and bolder.

My ambition is to get more girls and women of colour to speak out, mobilise and take action to protect our planet and the generations to come.
